ourstory
I started traveling abroad at the age of 11 . . . and I was never the same. No matter where I went, I was impacted the most by the needs of children living in extreme poverty. It was a young orphan boy on the streets of Rio de Janeiro that taught me the most important lesson of my life: one person can make a difference.
After college, I founded a child sponsorship program for the humanitarian organization World Help, that has provided over 45,000 sponsorships to children in need around the world. Over the years, I traveled and worked extensively in places like Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda, South Africa, Korea, the Philippines, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Brazil, China, India, Haiti, and Guatemala.
It was my work around the world that exposed me to one of the largest public health issues of our time – the World Water Crisis. I learned about the incredible numbers:
It was overwhelming. But, then I remembered another number – one. I remembered that one person can make a difference. And that is why causelife began.
causelife is a movement of people dedicated to providing the most essential need to human life-water. A relatively small amount of money can provide a child, a family, or even an entire community with clean water for the rest of their lives. And the ripple effect of clean water affects education, health, hunger, and poverty. I truly believe that if you change the global access to water, you can change the world.
It has been said that thousands have lived without love, but none without water. We hope to bring both . . . but we need your help. So please, join the movement and be the drop that makes a difference.
Water equals life!
